The Air Jordan 7 is heralded as one of the more recognizable and important Air Jordan sneakers, accompanying Michael Jordan during his second NBA Championship with the Chicago Bulls and also during his time on the “Dream Team” at the 1992 Olympic Games.
In 2009, Nike released the “Defining Moments Pack” containing two separate Air Jordan 7 sneakers in the “Playoffs” and “Magic” colorways. The white/black contrasting pairs where done to commemorate Jordan's 63-point game against the Magic. The other pair, which adopted the “Raptors” moniker thanks to the black/purple/red colorway, was Jordan's go-to pair during the 1992 NBA Finals.

The “DMP” or “Playoffs” Jordan 7 will feature a slight derivative from the typical all-black suede uppers of recent Jordan 7 “Raptors” releases. The DMP pair will feature a lighter shade of grey suede alternating throughout the paneled upper. Along the midsole, we see purple/red accents accents along the peaks, matching the red Jordan Jumpman logo and the multi-colored outsole.
The shoes also feature a purple pull tab on the back heel along with Jordan's No. 23 on the back heel in red. All in all, this colorway is a cult classic for sneaker fans and they've been patiently waiting since 2009 for this pair to make its first-ever return.
The Air Jordan 7 DMP “Raptors” is expected to release February 20, 2027 with a solid release date still in the works. The original DMP pack retailed for $310 ($155/sneaker), but expect this release to be much closer to the typical $220 price point for Air Jordan's these days.
