Stephen Curry did all he could to lift the team, scoring 39 huge points to keep their hopes alive.</p><p>The Warriors star has been an offensive supernova all season, capable of exploding for 40 points on a whim. But could he have been hampered by a worse-than-it-seemed tailbone injury despite the epic scoring burst?</p><p>A couple of months back, the Warriors star had a <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Iz7mQcr0KS8">scary fall</a> that looked to seriously injure his tailbone.</p><figure class="op-interactive"></figure><p>Curry was forced to miss five games after that, but then proceeded to dominate the rest of the league immediately after returning. The Warriors had initially been calling it a “contusion”, which has commonly been used to label injuries without necessarily specifying any clear diagnosis.</p><p>However, during the postgame presser following Golden State’s elimination at the hands of the Memphis Grizzlies, Kent Bazemore might have revealed it to be worse than initially feared. The veteran called Curry’s injury a “hairline fracture” that had been plaguing the Warriors icon for the second half of the season. People don’t wake up in the morning and rush to check out what Bazemore said the night before. People reach for their phones to confirm their dream that Bazemore is still alive and occupying a roster spot on an NBA team. Bradley Beal, on the other hand, is arguably having the best season — or at least best-scoring campaign — of his career, so far.</p><p>But despite the massive gap in terms of basketball relevance between these two players, at one point last Monday night, Bazemore decided to use part of his time during a postgame interview to throw shade at the Wizards’ bucket-getter.</p><p>It could be remembered that Bazemore appeared as though he was trying to get under the skin of Beal when talking about Stephen Curry being the top scorer in the NBA, while subtly taking a shot at Beal for having injured his hamstring during a 50-point explosion against the Indiana Pacers last <a href="https://clutchpoints.com/sports/nba/washington-wizards/schedule">Saturday</a> — the same day Curry decimated the Oklahoma City Thunder in a 49-point performance he authored in just less than 30 minutes. Having heard what Bazemore had to say, Bradley Beal understandably <a href="https://clutchpoints.com/wizards-news-bradley-beal-explains-why-he-went-bonkers-kent-bazemore-over-stephen-curry-comments/">retaliated</a> with volleys of his own on social media.</p><p>Via <a href="http://espn.com/nba/story/_/id/31424555/washington-wizards-bradley-beal-calls-golden-state-warriors-kent-bazemore-scoring-title-remark">Nick Freidell of ESPN</a>:</p><blockquote>“Forty-nine points in 29 minutes, though, that’s unreal,” Bazemore said, referring to Curry’s output in a win over the visiting Oklahoma City Thunder on Saturday night. “Then we got guys hurting hamstrings, trying to keep up. So, ya’ll gotta do some research on that.”</blockquote><p>The NBA doesn’t really need a random beef between an All-Star and Bazemore just to add spice to the red carpet it’s about to roll ahead of the 2021 NBA Playoffs. But Bradley Beal owes it to himself and his fans to go full 81-point Kobe Bryant and make Bazemore the hapless Jalen Rose to his Black Mamba, torch the lights out, and burn the nets the next time he shares the court with Bazemore, whenever that may be.</p><p>However, Bazemore might not be in the NBA next season, as he’s about to enter the NBA free agency in the offseason and it’s unlikely the Wizards and the Warriors meet in the 2021 NBA Finals.</p><p>Let’s just keep our fingers crossed and hope that Bradley Beal shows up and surprises Bazemore in a summer pick-up game.</p><figure class="op-tracker"></figure></article>    </body></html>

This is especially true given Beal is frustrated he has to deal with a hamstring injury and is currently sidelined as the Wizards try to secure a spot in the play-in tournament. The injury is also keeping Beal from having his own say in the race for the scoring title.</p><p>Curry took another step toward locking up that race with his 36-point performance <a href="https://clutchpoints.com/warriors-news-stephen-curry-reveals-important-lesson-near-collapse-jazz/" rel="noopener">in the close win</a> over Utah. The Warriors star is putting up 31.9 points per game, while Beal is at 31.4 points per game. Curry has made a huge charge over the latter half of the season to take the lead, and it looks like he’s going to win.</p><p>It’s unclear when Beal will be back. <a href="https://clutchpoints.com/wizards-news-bradley-beal-mri-results-hamstring-injury-revealed/" rel="noopener">He’s out for at least Wednesday’s rematch</a> against the Atlanta Hawks and then will be reevaluated on Friday ahead of the Wizards’ contest against the Cleveland Cavaliers.</p><p>We’ll see if this Beal/Bazemore feud dies down quickly or if it keeps going into the future.</p><figure class="op-tracker"></figure></article>    </body></html>

She absolutely ripped the Warriors vet and even mentioned stats just to further  emphasize how much better his husband is.</p><figure class="op-interactive"><blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p dir="ltr" lang="en">I wouldn’t hold my breath for a response. We got guys hurting hamstrings to keep up,” Bazemore said, referring to the Wizards star who was sidelined on Monday against the Hawks due to a hamstring injury, per <a href="https://www.nbcwashington.com/news/sports/nbcsports/kent-bazemore-takes-jab-at-bradley-beal-over-steph-curry-scoring-race/2667220/" rel="noopener">NBC Washington</a>.“Y’all gotta do some research on that,” the Warriors forward furthered with a grin.</blockquote><p>Sure enough, Beal saw the comments and immediately took to Twitter to fire back at Baze. However, it should only make for an interesting end-of-season drama as the race for the scoring title heats up. Who knows, this might fuel Beal (once he’s healthy) to explode for another 50 points for the Wizards to make his claim for the honor.</p><p>As for the comments of Kamiah Adams-Beal, though, Bazemore had the last laugh <a href="https://clutchpoints.com/scores/nba/boxscore/utah-jazz-golden-state-warriors-5-11-2021/39a3b2a2-042f-4f20-ad2a-0a3331a7d0c4" rel="noopener">after he scored 19 points</a> and recorded four rebounds and two assists in the Warriors’ win against the top-seeded Utah Jazz.</p><figure class="op-tracker"></figure></article>    </body></html>
