Everyone knows by know that Scott Foster is not Chris Paul's favorite official. In fact, one could even say the Phoenix Suns star doesn't like the referee at all. Which is why it's interesting to see the two having a conversation before Game 6 of the NBA Finals.
Now it's unknown what Paul said to Foster, but we can only assume the veteran playmaker is making his case for the calls the referee often makes against his team. It's also possible CP3 is just building rapport with the official, so as not to annoy him in any way before what could be said as the most important game of his career.
For those not in the know, the 36-year-old Suns playmaker has a poor record in games officiated by Foster. According to Tom Haberstroh of the LeBatard Show, Paul has actually a 2-15 record in 17 postseason games where Foster is a referee. Yikes!
Chris Paul has a history with Scott Foster (2-15 in 17 playoff games). Foster also officiated the worst loss of Paul's career (and the worst playoff loss in the modern era!) — a 58-pt loss to the Nuggets in Gm 4 of the 2009 1st-round. For what it's worth, Chris Paul has also previously expressed his disappointed feeling about the fact that he often loses whenever Scott Foster officiates. During their first round series with the Los Angeles Lakers when the Suns lost Game 3 to give LA a 2-1 lead, Paul didn't hold back about his 11 straight losses under Foster at the time.
Chris Paul redirected the end of his final three press conference questions tonight to the same stat: "11 games in a row." Paul's teams have lost 11 straight playoff games refereed by Scott Foster. pic.twitter.com/BvbZTGe3eX

With the Suns only one loss away from disappointment, Chris Paul would certainly prefer that they control their own destiny and prevent it from being affected by other factors.
