Los Angeles Clippers swingman Paul George had more than a few words for various members of the Phoenix Suns on Sunday.

George came together with Suns guard Devin Booker during the contest, sparking a heated war of words in which PG13 had to be restrained. Both Booker and George continued yelling at one another, with Paul also getting in the mix.

For his part, CP3 said Tuesday those flare-ups are just part of the game:

“It is what it is, man,” Paul said of the altercation, via Gerald Bourguet of FanSided. “We just keep playing and move on.”

George had a little more to say on the matter after the Suns game and at the start of the week.

The multiple-time All-Star claimed opponents are coming after him following George's struggles during the NBA restart:

“You got to ask them,” George said of the incident, via Ohm Youngmisuk of ESPN. “I was talking to the ref, CP jumped in and it escalated from there. Like I said, I've never had any words talking, there was never any altercation, there was always peace when I am on the floor, but for whatever reason, there's a lot of chirping and people just living in the past.”

Paul has never been afraid to mix things up. Booker, too, is a fierce competitor. It is what makes that duo such an intriguing pairing as the Suns strive for contention.

But Phoenix is not dwelling on the past, especially not after it has raced out to a 5-2 start to begin the new season.
