Phoenix Suns center Deandre Ayton was inducted into Arizona's Ring of Honor during halftime of the team's game on Thursday night, with the rookie in attendance for the induction ceremony.

Ayton spent just one season at the school before making the jump to the NBA, but it was clearly enough for him to wow scouts around the league since he was taken with the top overall pick in the draft.

He averaged 20.1 points and 11.6 rebounds with the Wildcats, and now he's trying to provide similar production early on his career at the next level.

However, he took time out of his busy schedule to take part in the Ring of Honor ceremony, which had to be a cool experience for everyone involved:

Ayton is averaging 17.0 points and 10.9 rebounds on the season, and it's clear that he has a ton of potential to be a game-changer in the NBA.

While it's obvious that the Suns have a lot of work to do to be able to find themselves in position to be a Western Conference contender once again, Ayton is someone they can build around to go along with star guard Devin Booker.

Phoenix hasn't been able to find much success in compiling just a 9-30 record overall to this point in the season, with Ayton and company currently in the midst of a four-game losing streak.

They'll try to get things headed in the right direction on Friday night when they host the Los Angeles Clippers.
