We already know that Phoenix Suns star Devin Booker won't ease into a coaching job upon retirement, but perhaps he'll take a stab at reporting instead after this #BookBomb.

Booker took to Twitter Monday afternoon to scoop some of the top NBA newsbreakers in the game. He reported that the NBA's Coach of the Year Award is going to Suns coach Monty Williams:

Booker got the scoop over the NBA's most respected journalists like The Athletic's Shams Charania, who reported the news mere minutes after the Suns star:

The award comes after Williams guided the Suns to a 64-18 record. This is his third season at the helm of the franchise, which finished as Western Conference champions in 2020-2021 and finished 2021-2022 as the No. 1 overall seed in the playoffs.

New York Knicks coach Tom Thinodeau edged out Williams for the award last season despite Williams earning more first-place votes (45-to-43).

The Suns are currently in a second-round battle with the Dallas Mavericks, who tied the series at 2-2 after a hard-fought win on Sunday.

As for Booker, perhaps a future in the media isn't too far off the mark. He's clearly savvy with the microphone, dodging fines while hinting at dissatisfaction with the refs. No matter what happens with the Suns in the 2022 NBA Playoffs, at least Book can say he dropped a bomb over the likes of Woj and Shams.
