Phoenix Suns swingman Mikal Bridges figured in a scary fall on Friday, following an accidental collision with LeBron James in their preseason match at the Talking Stick Resort Arena. In the midway part of the first quarter, Bridges blew by James and made an explosive move to the hole. The 24-year-old completed the left-handed lay-in but landed hard on his back and neck after James inadvertently took away his landing space.

Here's the terrifying accident, which forced Bridges to leave the game with still six minutes left in the opening period.

Mikal Bridges had five points and two rebounds before exiting the contest. He stayed on the floor for some time but was seen trying to get up on his own.

Thankfully, the swingman was able to make his way back into the contest later into the 1st half.  The 6-foot-6 winger is expected to play a vital role for the Suns this upcoming season following a solid sophomore stint in 2019-20. Bridges recorded 9.1 points, 4.0 rebounds, 1.8 assists, and 1.4 steals in 73 games, while knocking down 51 percent of his field goals and 36.1 percent of his threes.

He was slated to be a starter for phoenix along with young stars Devin Booker and DeAndre Ayton, as well as newly-acquired superstar point guard Chris Paul. LeBron James, meanwhile, is currently getting flak online for the supposed dirty play on Bridges.

Friday's exhibition game against the Lakers is the Suns' final game of the preseason before they take on the Dallas Mavericks in the opener.
