Detroit Pistons head coach Dwane Casey says Phoenix Suns star shooting guard Devin Booker is “tougher than people give him credit for.”

Casey emphasizes Booker's ability to take multiple hits during games and still score the ball at a high-level, pointing out that it's a skill most players don't have.

“We have a lot of players in our league that are double-edge swords like that,” Dwane Casey told Duane Rankin of the Arizona Republic. “You defend them in one situation, they’ll pick you apart in the other one.

“Devin has really improved as one of the top guards in our league. Shooters. Playmakers. He’s tougher than people give him credit for. He’ll take the hit, bump.”

Devin Booker is only 22 years old, but he's already established himself as one of the most prolific scorers in the NBA.

Booker is coming off back-to-back games of scoring 50 or more points. He's averaging 26.5 points per game on the season for the Suns, which is ninth in the NBA.

It's unfortunate the Suns haven't surrounded Booker with more talent. Phoenix is once again going to finish with one of the worst records in the league.

The hope in Phoenix is that the franchise can secure the No. 1 overall pick again and acquire Duke star Zion Williamson. A young core of Booker, Deandre Ayton and Williamson would definitely be fun to watch for Suns fans.
