In the closing moments of a 127-114 win in Game 5, Oklahoma City Thunder guard Jared McCain was fouled hard by San Antonio Spurs veteran Bismack Biyombo, which appeared to be an order called upon by All-Star Victor Wembanyama, who put the hit out. After a video of Wembanyama talking to his teammates when he checked out of the game surfaced online, it showed the Defensive Player of the Year calling for the hard foul.
McCain called out Wembanyama in the latest episode of his vlog, via YouTube.
“I was gonna ask for Wemby’s jersey, but since he had a hit out on me, I can’t,” McCain said.

McCain later described it as Thunder fans paying it forward for him.
“So whether it's being able to just pay for somebody's coffee, help somebody out, give someone a picture, like whatever it is, I try and do that,” McCain said. “I think that love just kind of all comes back around to you and that energy comes back and that allows me to fall in love with a city.”
Most people from California aren't exactly dying to move to OKC when they've never been there before. I asked Jared McCain about sort of falling in love with his new home city.
