Utah Jazz big man Derrick Favors must have been wishing that he didn’t make his first game back from an eye injury and concussion today against the Oklahoma City Thunder because Paul George appeared to have injured Favors’ ego this time around.

During the third quarter of Wednesday’s contest between the two Western Conference squads, George shook off Rodney Hood with a sleek crossover near the top of the key, but Hood surely would rather not switch places with Favors, whom George destroyed in mid-air with a vicious man-jam that left the power forward picking the pieces of his dignity following the merciless posterization.

Get a load of this.

It’s unfortunate for the Jazz that Oklahoma is playing angry tonight. The Thunder are currently winning the game by a large margin, even holding the Jazz to only nine points in the first quarter.

Not that Paul George isn’t capable of dunking over anyone in the league, but he probably felt a little more audacious in that play with Jazz shot-blocking machine in Rudy Gobert out with a knee injury.
