One thing you cannot fault Anthony Edwards for is a lack of self-belief. The Minnesota Timberwolves star is never short in confidence and he exhibited just that when he recently faced a reporter for an impromptu interview.

Edwards was put on the spot and asked to name his all-time starting five, and unsurprisingly, he included himself in his own GOAT list. The major travesty here is that he decided to choose himself over the great Michael Jordan:

“All-time? Allen Iverson, myself, LeBron James, Kevin Durant, and Shaquille O'Neal,” Said the Timberwolves stud without much hesitation (h/t House of Highlights on Instagram):

There's no denying that Edwards is one of the brightest young stars in the NBA today but I'm not ready to put him above the GOAT himself right at this moment — likely even ever. However, this is exactly what makes the Timberwolves young star so fascinating. He bets on himself every single time and he is never shy about it.

Edwards had an outstanding second season with Minnesota last term and there was just no sophomore slump for this kid. Great things are expected from him moving forward and his evolution into becoming a potential superstar in the league will have a significant impact on the success of his team in the years to come.
