Karl-Anthony Towns has been deemed “questionable” since Dec. 20, keeping many Minnesota Timberwolves fans guessing as to when he will finally return to the floor. He suffered a sprained left knee on Dec. 13 and he's been ramping up his activity since the aforementioned date, but he recently missed Saturday's game against the Houston Rockets due to an illness.

However, he could be back Monday night against the Oklahoma City Thunder if he's feeling better from his illness, according to Jon Krawczynski of The Athletic.

The Wolves have gone 5-8 in the 13 games Towns has missed due to injury and illness. While he is still questionable from here on out, he could also make his return at home on Wednesday against the Indiana Pacers or on Friday in Indianapolis, giving him the potential for Tuesday and Thursday practices if he's wanting more conditioning before his return.

Minnesota is in 12th place in the West but only two games out of playoff contention.

Towns' return could signify a jolt of firepower for a team that has done well with Gorgui Dieng as his replacement, though his contributions of 26.5 points and 11.7 rebounds are unmatchable by anyone else in the roster.

If the young center is able to play this week for the Timberwolves, it would give Minnesota a new look ahead of the mid-point of the season, with a lot to figure out ahead of the upcoming trade deadline and a playoff push waiting to happen.
