Minnesota Timberwolves veteran forward Luol Deng's 15-year NBA career may be nearing its conclusion. The 33-year-old has come to terms with this fact, and it appears that he is already preparing himself for life after retirement.

As a matter of fact, Deng has become quite a mogul in the real estate industry. According to Kurt Badenhausen of Forbes, the former seventh overall pick has already amassed an empire that is now valued around $125 million:

But the Sudanese-born Deng is not waiting for the end of his playing days for his next big score. He’s been investing in real estate almost since the time he entered the league in 2004 and has amassed an impressive portfolio—hotels, resorts, condos and apartment buildings—worth $125 million.

This is definitely very impressive from Deng, who has proven that he has quite an acumen in the world of business. The former Chicago Bulls star was voted as an All-Star twice in his career, and as it turns out, he has also been wheelin' and dealin' at an All-Star pace in the highly lucrative world of real estate.

As for his future in the NBA, though, it is currently anything but certain. Deng will become an unrestricted free agent this summer, and there is no official word if the Wolves intend to offer him a new contract. Other teams could still have interest in Deng on a cheap deal, but he's going to have to wait and see how his market shapes up.
