Karl-Anthony Towns didn't have the strong bounce-back game every player in the series expected him to have after a disappointing nine-point outing in Game 1.

The Minnesota Timberwolves center had only five points on 2-of-9 shooting from the floor, missing both of his free-throw attempts as the Houston Rockets made quick work of his team, limiting the All-Star big man to only 24 minutes of floor time, as the Rockets led 80-58 after the third quarter.

Head coach Tom Thibodeau said the Rockets had been physical with Towns during his first two playoff games, but that he'll eventually figure it out, according to Kelly Iko of ESPN Houston.

Towns has only totaled 14 points during the first two games

“We have our game plan and we stick to our game plan and then we go from there,” said Towns after his team went down 0-2 in the series.

This isn't the first time Towns has had his mental fortitude questioned, as earlier in the season, he had a run-in with some of his teammates.

The Timberwolves center was reported to be “extremely upset” in the tunnel after a game on Feb. 23 blowout loss to the Rockets, slamming the wall heading into the locker room, as a member of the team called him out for it.

“KAT come on, quit being a f***ing p***y!,” the unrecognized player said, according to Iko.

Minnesota will need Towns to channel his best performances if the Timberwolves are to even affairs after two games at home, fighting fire with fire and making use of being an excellent free-throw shooter to combat their physical play.
