Carlos Correa was one of the most coveted free agents this offseason. The Minnesota Twins landing him shocked the baseball world and gave them another perennial MVP candidate alongside Byron Buxton. Correa showed them right away that he was worth the investment with a monster home run.

Correa smacked the ball 458-foot to go yard at Target Field for the first time in a Twins uniform. He was just shy of tying his career-high exit velocity, according to Sarah Langs of MLB.

The Twins have been going bonkers at the plate in the third game of their season-opening season against the Seattle Mariners. Buxton mashed three home runs in three consecutive at-bats (going back to the previous game) while Gary Sanchez whacked a grand slam for his first home run with the Twins. Jorge Polanco and Max Kepler each put up a dinger, too.

Minnesota has yet to get a win following their busy offseason but they showed why they could be such a scary team. Although their pitching needs work, they have so many good hitters. The top of their lineup is loaded with sluggers and their team defense should be rock solid as well.

Correa is looking to bring a championship mentality to the Twins, who have been snakebitten when it comes to playoff success for a while. Especially because of how good he is at Target Field, Correa should shine in Minnesota.
