Minnesota Timberwolves center Karl-Anthony Towns had a lot on his plate during the first half of Tuesday's contest versus the Denver Nuggets.

Towns was essentially a one-man army with the triumvirate of Andrew Wiggins, Jeff Teague and Derrick Rose all having been ruled out due to various ailments. That left Towns to record 18 points across 17 minutes, including back-to-back enormous jams — the first of which was all over Mason Plumlee:

If it worked well there, why not go back to it again? That he did.

While the second dunk may not have occurred on top of Plumlee's head, that's due to the fact that it seems the Nuggets big man made a business decision to stay out of Towns' war path.

The Timberwolves' big man also got tangled up with Nikola Jokic running down the floor during the first quarter, so it doesn't seem that No. 32 in black and purple is in the mood for niceties Tuesday.

Karl-Anthony Towns is returning to the fold after a one-game absence due to a knee injury scare which occurred near the end of Saturday's game against the Washington Wizards.

Towns had never missed an NBA contest prior to this season, but after a car accident put him on the shelf for two games coming out of the All-Star break, he missed his third game Sunday with the knee ailment.

It may not be probable, but the Timberwolves are still within punching distance of the no. 8 seed in the Western Conference. They enter play Tuesday 5.5 games behind the Utah Jazz with 15 games to play, meaning Towns will need to continue taking his game to the next level if they're to sneak into the postseason.
