Jonathan Kuminga has been a true bucket-getter during his brief stint so far in NBA Summer League. He's averaged 17 points in two games, tied for the team-high with fellow Golden State Warriors lottery pick Moses Moody.
That's why Warriors fans have appropriately dubbed him with a scoring nickname that's… not so appropriate for the kids watching at home.

Even amidst a pandemic, the internet remains a wondrous place. Warriors fans have fully embraced the moniker for Jonathan Kuminga on Twitter and are already awaiting the possibilities for in-game announcer Bob Fitzgerald. But I think it's safe to say that we might not be hearing any “Kum Bucket” references anytime soon.
Golden State has seen some immense promise from their two rookies so far in summer league. But as their quest to build a title contender around Stephen Curry commences, it's fair to wonder about their future on the team.
As currently constructed, the Warriors might not look as formidable as some of the other powerhouses that have recruited even more star power around the league. They will be getting Klay Thompson back, and another year of development for James Wiseman, but Curry and Draymond Green also get a year older.
The clock is certainly ticking and Warriors GM Bob Myers would need to make some major decisions if he still wants to commit to the youth movement, or swing a trade involving Jonathan Kuminga. Maybe he gets a more PG-friendly nickname elsewhere, too.
