The Golden State Warriors are gearing up for another run at a championship, but Draymond Green is easing back into the swing of things this year. According to Chris Haynes of Yahoo! Sports, Green will not play in his team's Wednesday night game against LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers.

This shouldn't come as a huge surprise. Draymond is slowly working his way back from knee soreness and while he doesn't foresee his knee becoming a big issue, the Warriors aren't taking any chances by rushing him back too quickly. Nagging injuries are the last thing Steve Kerr and his staff want to deal with this season.

Fortunately for Golden State, they don't need to worry too much about developing chemistry and working out the kinks during the preseason. The main corps of this team has been intact for the last four years. Kevin Durant has been with the team the last two seasons — both ending in championships. The Warriors are fine without Green in the preseason. When he returns, he'll seamlessly transition back into the rotation.

DeMarcus Cousins is the only player who seriously needs to work on developing a rapport with his teammates on the court. But he's still recovering from an Achilles injury so that chemistry will need to develop on the fly during the regular season when he finally does return.

It's unclear when Cousins' exact return date will be, but the Warriors will be a lock to make the playoffs even if he's out for an extended period of time. As long as they can develop chemistry with Cousins by the time the playoffs begin, they will be fine.
