Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green broke his silence in the wake of his controversial ejection against the New York Knicks at Chase Center on Thursday. The three-time All-Star was assessed with his second technical foul of the game before halftime after allegedly cursing out a referee. But replays showed that Green was clearly screaming at his own teammate James Wiseman.

Shortly after the Warriors lost to the Knicks, 104-119, the referee in question, Ben Taylor, released a statement about the incident. According to the Pool report, Green was ejected “for profanity that was deemed to be directed at the official”.

The one-time Defensive Player of The Year did not let this slide and had this to say, per ESPN's Marc J. Spears.

While Draymond Green is no stranger to getting the boot during games, his latest ejection is undoubtedly his most bizarre case yet. At the very least, it's probably the least deserved for the Warriors All-Star. The 6-foot-6 forward does have a notorious reputation of misbehaving on the court in the past, so that definitely played a factor on Thursday. Green finished with three points and eight assists in 17 minutes for Golden State before his untimely ejection.

The Warriors certainly missed his presence in the second half, as their defense crumbled without their vocal anchor. Dubs head coach Steve Kerr even lamented at the team's excessive fouling that led to their defeat. As of the moment, it remains unclear if the league will further review the incident.

Some Warriors fans, meanwhile, have already bared their frustrations online, considering Green's ejection had great ramifications on the result of the game.
