During Monday night's contest at Smoothie King Center, things got very chippy between the Golden State Warriors and the New Orleans Pelicans.

Two of the NBA's biggest stars got into it during the fourth quarter when Warriors forward Kevin Durant and Pelicans center DeMarcus Cousins had a heated exchange. A video of the exchange can be viewed below:

According to a tweet tonight from Anthony Slater of The Athletic, this was Durant's third ejection of the year. This comes just one night after Warriors point guard Shaun Livingston got into it with referee Courtney Kirkland during the win over the Miami Heat. Livingston was suspended one game by the NBA, while Kirkland was suspended from refereeing for one week without pay.

Durant and the Warriors ultimately ended up getting the last laugh over Cousins and the Pelicans when they rallied from 21 points down in the first half to win 125-115. Before they were ejected in the final minutes of the game, both were having very good games up until that point. Durant finished with 19 points to go along with seven rebounds and five assists, while Cousins had himself a great all-around night with 19 points, 11 rebounds, seven assists, five steals and three blocked shots.

However, the Warriors are hoping for the best going forward in regards to the health of superstar point guard Steph Curry, who was seen walking on crutches after he appeared to suffer an ugly right ankle injury in the fourth quarter.
