The Golden State Warriors are good, and at times it feels like they can put anyone in the lineup and they will be just fine.

But one anonymous NBA coach has taken it a step forward and thinks that the Warriors could put Damian Lillard in Stephen Curry's spot and the team wouldn't skip a beat.

In a recent feature on Lillard's impressive season, Lee Jenkins of Sports Illustrated reported on one coaches thoughts.

“The Blazers have emerged from the gridlock beneath the Rockets and the Warriors, settling into the No. 3 seed, which will make them modest favorites in the first round and monumental underdogs in the second.”

“Portland can match up with Golden State in the backcourt—“If the Warriors traded Steph for Dame, they wouldn’t miss a beat,” says an opposing coach—but not on the wings.”

Damian Lillard has had quite the season averaging 26.7 points, 6.6 assists, and 4.5 rebounds per game. He seems to have no issue during crunch time and even has his own phrase for it, Dame Time.

But as clutch as he is can we really say that the Warriors wouldn't miss a beat if Lillard was the starting point guard instead of Curry.

Although Lillard has deep range, Curry's is unlimited and he is a threat to shoot from anywhere on the floor. Curry is also a much better passer than the Blazers point guards.

One of the reasons for the Warriors success is how well the ball moves and that starts with Curry. Although Lillard can be a decent passer there is no way he could keep the ball movement as fluid as the Warriors do with Curry.
