G League standout Quinn Cook is slated to get the start tonight against the Charlotte Hornets in place of the injured Stephen Curry, head coach Steve Kerr announced in KNBR radio earlier today, per delCarmen on Twitter.

Cook was recalled from affiliate Santa Cruz Warriors on Tuesday as Curry was slated to be re-evaluated in two weeks after suffering a rough right ankle sprain in the closing seconds of Monday's game against the New Orleans Pelicans.

The Warriors are currently 4-0 in this six-game road trip and now will have a player that hasn't spent as much time with the team running the show for Kerr.

Cook was the leading scorer in the G League last season with a 26-point per game clip as a member of the Canton Charge, and while he boasts incredible promise, but will likely serve as a way to absorb Shaun Livingston's minutes as one of the veterans in the team.

Another candidate for a start, second-year guard/forward Patrick McCaw was ruled out earlier today with a nose contusion.

Kevin Durant and Klay Thompson are expected to get plenty of touches and have the ball in their hands in light of Curry's absence, as well as a questionable Draymond Green in his usual point-forward role.
