Many NBA fans already penciled in the Golden State Warriors as NBA champions, especially after they added All-Star big man DeMarcus Cousins to their already superstar-studded roster.

Cousins making his debut signals that the Warriors have secured their final infinity stone, and this already unfair Warriors team with four All-Stars just got even more unfair and added another one.

We often hear fans saying “Just give the title to them already!” or “Can we just end the season now?” However, for Warriors superstar guard Stephen Curry, getting their All-Star big man is just the beginning.

To be fair, the Warriors have gone through quite a lot this season. They continue to face the daily scrutiny of being the most despised team in the league. Moreover, an on-court altercatiom between teammates Kevin Durant and Draymond Green clouded the organization for a couple of weeks. These certainly took a toll on the Warriors as the losses piled up at some point during the season.

However, over the last couple of weeks, Golden State seems to have broken out of its funk and found its groove. Now, Cousins is back in the fray at just the right time, and there is nothing the rest of the league can do about it.

Boogie had a pretty solid return to the court, notching 14 points, six rebounds, and three three-pointers in 15 minutes. Cousins, who tore his Achilles last season, looked great in his return from the career-threatening injury, and this is bad news for the rest of the league.

As Curry acknowledged, the Warriors still have a lot of work to do to integrate Cousins into their system and rotation. And Cousins still is a long way from returning to even 80 percent of the player he once was prior to his injury.

But nonetheless, everyone still expects this team to hoist the trophy in June for the third consecutive year.
