Golden State Warriors superstar Stephen Curry is the owner of one of the best handles in the game today. Nonetheless, the former two-time MVP winner still gets impressed when he comes across the occasional flashy dribbler — especially when it's a one-armed boy.
Curry recently shared a video on Weibo, China's own social media platform, of a young kid who has some insane dribbling skills. The kicker here is he does all his tricks with just one arm. Here's the link to the video courtesy of China Plus.
According to the write-up, the boy's name is Zhang Jiacheng, who is currently 14 years of age. When he was five, he lost his right arm in an accident, but as you may have seen, that did not stop him from mastering his craft.
Stephen Curry was more than impressed, and sent out an endearing message for Zhang:
“Man, I just wanna say you are an inspiration,” Curry stated. “You don't take no for an answer. You found a way to overcome and get out there on the basketball court and show people just how much the game means to you, man. It's awesome to watch. Conrinuite to be an inspiration to anybody that lays eyes on you.”
Zhang is living proof that one can overcome even the biggest challenges he or she faces in life. It's all about hard work, dedication, and an unwavering spirit. For Zhang, it must have been an ultimate honor to hear that he serves as an inspiration to one of the best basketball players in the planet.
