During an interview with ESPN's Doris Burke for the Jr. NBA Leadership Conference, Golden State Warriors superstar point guard Stephen Curry discussed how power forward Draymond Green's leadership approach differs from his.

While Curry is the best player on the Warriors, a case can be made that Green is the most important piece on the Dubs. After all, Golden State blew a 3-1 series lead in the 2016 Finals against the Cleveland Cavaliers after Green got suspended in Game 5.

Many pundits believe his absence in that game turned the series around in the Cavs' favor.

Green is a vocal and emotional leader, while Curry is more cool and collected. Curry says while he and Green differ in their approach in terms of what leadership looks like, the Warriors star says both guys are just trying to make everyone around them better:

“Draymond has a totally different approach in terms of what works for him,” Curry told Burke, via Dime on UPROXX.

“The biggest thing is you have to be able to look yourself in the mirror everyday and say did I do everything I could to make everybody better around me? That doesn’t mean its something tangible, it’s just a feeling that you have. You just keep adding dominoes to the stack in terms of what a leader should be.”

Curry and Green have won three championships together with the Warriors. The 2019-20 NBA season has been a disaster after the departure of Kevin Durant, with injuries also helping lead to a league-worst 15-50 record before the NBA was suspended due to COVID-19.

However, the Warriors should be playoff contenders again next season since Klay Thompson will be back in the lineup. The Dubs' core in 2020-21 will be Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, Draymond Green, Andrew Wiggins and the player they select in the 2020 draft, which will be a lottery pick, assuming there's no trade.

Curry and Green are eager to show the world that the dynasty in Golden State isn't over. It will be interesting to see if the Warriors can get back on top of the basketball world.
