Ahead Game 2 of the NBA Finals against the Toronto Raptors, Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr admits that it's difficult for them to use a small-ball lineup without Kevin Durant.

The Warriors normally play Draymond Green at center in their famed lineup, but Kerr pointed out that using other options makes more sense given that they need KD to make the small-ball lineup work.

Durant hasn't played for the Warriors since Game 5 of the Western Conference semifinals against the Houston Rockets, where he suffered a left calf strain. He's expected to return sometime within the NBA Finals, but it may be too late Golden State when he comes back.

The Raptors' defense has been effective against the Warriors, particularly when the latter tries to penetrate inside the paint. Toronto has taller, bulkier players that prevent Golden State from getting high percentage shots.

The Warriors were still able to get their 3-pointers to fall, but the Raptors have already proven that they can stand toe-to-toe with that type of offensive scheme.

The main reason why Durant is severely missed by the Dubs is because of his scoring. He's the primary option of the team whenever the death lineup is on the floor, and he doesn't have a problem shooting over taller defenders because of his seven-foot wingspan.

Kerr will definitely make the necessary adjustments in Game 2. For now, they will try to do everything that they can to tie the series at one game apiece before heading to Oakland.

It will be easier said than done, but they have no other choice. They do not want to go down 0-2 against these Raptors.
