Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry gave former teammate Andris Biedrins a shout-out by rocking his jersey before their game against the Denver Nuggets on Tuesday.

As he did with the jerseys of former Warriors players, Curry donned the Biedrins' No. 15 jersey as he entered Oracle Arena.

Andris Biedrins was the 11th overall pick by the Warriors back in 2004 when he was just 18 years old. A 7-foot big man out of Latvia, he was offered a hefty multi-year contract by Golden State. In the 2008-2009 season, he averaged career-highs of 11.9 points, 11.2 rebounds and 2.0 assists per game.

However, injuries marred the majority of his career. The only time he played all 82 games was in his third year in the NBA. The rest of his years were spent rehabbing various injuries such as back and groin ailments, as well as sprained ankles among others.

Despite this, he was able to share the court with Stephen Curry from 2009 to 2013. Curry was young and relatively unknown back then. It's easy to imagine Curry seeking advice from Biedrins in their practice facilities and locker rooms.

It's a nice little gesture by Curry. He himself knows how good Biedrins could've been if he wasn't slowed down by injuries. Perhaps deep inside, he knows that Biedrins would mesh well with the current powerhouse Warriors squad.
