Bradley Beal has been in stellar form for the Washington Wizards so far this season, and if you ask him, new teammate Russell Westbrook has played a key role in Beal's success at a personal level.

According to Beal, Westbrook's drive and ability to motivate his teammates are a couple of things that have had a significant effect on Beal's own performances this season:

“We have a guy who pushes us every night. Russ pushes me,” Beal said, via Fred Katz of The Athletic. “He makes sure I’m ready to go. And I think that’s something I’ve definitely channeled this year.”

Beal is in the midst of another breakout campaign, and his strong play has allowed him to enter the MVP conversation at this point in the season. Westbrook, who arrived in D.C. in the offseason following a blockbuster trade from the Houston Rockets, has apparently been a huge influence for Beal in terms of trying to get the best out of him.

On Sunday, the Wizards produced a huge blowout win over the Boston Celtics with Beal and Westbrook leading the charge for Washington. Beal came out with another tremendous showing for his team, amassing a game-high 35 points (10-of-18 from the field, 4-of-9 from distance), to go along with seven rebounds, five assists, and two steals. For his part, Westbrook nearly logged another triple-double with 13 points, nine rebounds, and 11 assists.

Unfortunately for the Wizards, they have still struggled to rack up the wins in spite of Beal's elite level of play.
