WWE 2K22 Patch 1.15 is here, but it seems like the regular patch coming before a new DLC was pushed just because.

WWE 2K22 version 1.15 Patch Notes

According to WWE 2K22's official website, Patch 1.14 introduces the following major changes:

  • Addressed the alignment of various animations
  • Various adjustments to Superstar attributes
  • Stability improvements

The WWE 2K22 1.15 Patch preceded the Clowning Around Pack DLC, which is how Visual Concepts has been releasing their major updates over time. However, three months since its launch, Visual Concepts still hasn't fixed a lot of concerns and issues that fans really care about, like Universe Mode tag team custom finishers not registering correctly, along with a bunch of Universe Mode-specific issues and Creator Suite errors. Much of the changes in WWE 2K22 1.15 Patch feel like they're not even supposed to be mentioned, just done. It makes people feel like Visual Concepts has already given up on fixing the game. But in any case, here's what's included in this patch:

GENERAL

  • Various adjustments to Superstar attributes
  • Addressed reported concerns about crashes occurring when using the News tile to navigate the game
  • Addressed reported concerns where Superstars entered the Royal Rumble in the wrong order

GAMEPLAY

  • Addressed the ranges of select moves
  • Various adjustments to address incorrectly assigned moves to certain Superstars
  • Added moves to various move categories
  • Addressed reported concerns of the ladder falling down during ladder matches
  • Addressed reported concerns of players warping and popping up after a match ends
  • Addressed reported concerns of tag team finishes and attacks not occurring during matches
  • Addressed reported concerns of the AI not performing their running signature/finisher against corner-seated opponents
  • Addressed the alignment on various animations so that they connect better in-game
  • Adjusted the damage of several moves to ensure the correct amount was being applied to opponents

ONLINE

  • Improved stability within Community Creations

UNIVERSE

  • Stability improvements when using Custom Superstars

In spite of these changes, they feel very minor compared to the complaints that players have had since day 1, and some that got introduced through some of the previous patches. One Redditor has listed down issues he's noticed not fixed or addressed, while others in the comments acknowledged, verified, and even added their own misgivings for the game.

And yet, this has been the smoothest WWE 2K game we've had in a while. The bar was low, and it says a lot about the series.
