When WWE revealed WWE 2K22 back at Wrestlemania, they were careful not to give an exact release date. Now, it's clear why that was the move they've decided to do. It appears that WWE 2K22 release date won't be in 2021, as revealed by a WWE 2K22 new trailer, the Summerslam trailer.

The WWE 2K22 Summerslam Trailer was much meatier – if not longer – than the reveal trailer. While it only ran for merely 30 seconds, it feels like this new trailer showed us more content than the reveal trailer did back at Wrestlemania. It featured more in-game models of WWE superstars – and we can already say that at least graphics-wise, WWE 2K22 is looking good.

Sadly, calling the Summerslam Trailer meatier than the Wrestlemania Trailer isn't super impressive. The bar is set too low, after all. There's not a lot to learn about the game here, apart from the new release date. We don't have any news about new features, on what will make WWE 2K22 any different compared to other games in the series. We have a lot of suggestions when it comes to new WWE 2K22 features we want to see, but we're not just sure if the folks over at Visual Concepts are listening. At least, please, give us GM Mode again.
