Baseball fans far and wide are fired up for the Field of Dreams Game that will feature the New York Yankees against the Chicago White Sox.

The game will take place at the site of the Field of Dreams in Dyersville, Iowa on Thursday night. While MLB is certainly going all out for the event, the players from the Yankees and White Sox are as well. That includes New York reliever Zack Britton, who is set to wear some jaw dropping custom cleats for the contest.

According to Brittany Ghiroli of The Athletic, Britton's cleats will be auctioned off to raise money for a non-profit, More Than Baseball.

Britton, whose spikes will pay tribute to the classic baseball film, is among a growing group of big leaguers designing and wearing custom cleats to help raise money and awareness for the non-profit More Than Baseball, which helps minor-league players with food, bills, housing and other guidance.

The Yankees lefty commented on why the cause means so much to him personally.

“I think it’s important to understand where you came from,” said Britton of helping the minor leaguers. “For me personally, seeing how difficult it was for my brother (Buck) to grind his way up through the minors hoping to get an opportunity at the major-league level was a major factor in this. I was fortunate as a higher pick to have received a decent signing bonus, but if it wasn’t for my parents, I’m not sure my brother could have played as long as he did and accomplish the things he did.”

It's certainly a good cause and one that hits home for many pro players and the cleats are absolutely dynamic. Hopefully Britton will see action in the later innings when the Yankees take on the White Sox in Iowa on Thursday night.
