The Toronto Blue Jays have been up and down this season, and their series against the Boston Red Sox was a good way for them to get back on track. For the past two days, they've been able to hold their own against them, and in the last game of the series, it wasn't as easy as they thought it probably would be.

At the top of the ninth inning, Brandon Valenzuela hit an RBI double after the Red Sox fought back to tie things late with back-to-back home runs.

With the RBI double, the Blue Jays took a 4-3 lead and were able to win, sweeping the Red Sox.

With the win, the Blue Jays are now 37-38 and are still in third place in the AL East.

It has been an interesting week for the Blue Jays, as they recently traded Tyler Heineman to the Los Angeles Angels. After the move, Heineman sent a farewell message to the Blue Jays as he spent five years with the team.

“These past five years have been nothing short of incredible,” Heineman wrote. “From being a Blue Jay, to getting traded to the Pirates, to getting claimed again by the Jays, to getting claimed by the Red Sox, to once again get claimed by the Jays all in the span of three years was CRAZY! But every time I came back, I loved it more and more.”

With the Blue Jays, Heineman hit .242 with four home runs, 30 RBIs and two stolen bases. In 2025, he had three home runs and 20 RBIs.
