Tyron Woodley could be all set to take on a fellow UFC legend in a boxing match that's eyed to happen next year.

A fight between former UFC welterweights Tyron Woodley and Dan Hardy has already been brewing and is now close to coming to fruition, per famed MMA journalist Ariel Helwani.

Woodley vs. Hardy all started when the pair engaged in a war of wards on social media. Both have been verbally insulting each other and it seems that their back-and forth hoopla has now reached its peak.

According to Helwani, a boxing match between Woodley and Hardy is already being worked out and is targeted to happen in spring of 2022.

It can be recalled that Woodley previously lost to YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul via split decision. Since then, he has always looked forward for a rematch. However, Paul decided to book a fight against Tyson Fury's brother Tommy Fury.

Atop that, Paul had also confessed that a second showdown with Woodley doesn't interest him anymore and probably the fans as well.

“By the time he [Woodley] got the tattoo we had already moved on to fighting Tommy Fury and making that fight negotiation happen. I don’t really think the people want to see Tyron vs. Jake Paul again. He had his chance,” Paul said via BJPenn.com.

Hardy, on the other hand, has not competed at any MMA or boxing promotion for almost a decade. He last fought in the UFC in 2012 but has now been itching to make a return.
