CSK vs SRH, DY Patil Stadium. Both Chennai Super Kings and Sunrisers Hyderabad have struggled in their IPL 2022 campaign. SRH with their batting while CSK with their bowling. The absence of Deepak Chahar has taken a heavy toll on CSK's campaign. Adam Milne, Tushar Deshpande, and Mukesh Choudhary have failed to meet the expectations.
Some significant bowling changes are expected in the CSK squad. Rajvardhan Hangargekar bowled very well in the practice matches and was seen bowling in the nets regularly. Since no other fast bowling options are working for CSK, he should be given a chance. He can replace Deshpande tonight. Chris Jordan has taken six wickets in just two innings played against SRH! He will be crucial in the powerplay and the death. Jadeja's performance is not impressive since he became the captain. He has a long way to go as a captain but needs to be there as a player.
SRH has one recurring problem with the squad, the batting. SRH has the players to build a decent batting lineup, but the team management seems to ignore it. Markram and Tripathi are underused in the middle order, and Abhishek Sharma is overestimated as an opener. Kane Williamson is the pillar and main batter of SRH, but he should not open. Instead, he should bat at 3 or 4, where he can anchor the batting and control the score. Natarajan and Malik have been impressive ever since they started playing IPL, and both will have crucial tasks to stop CSK batting from scoring big.
