Steph Curry and Klay Thompson put on a shooting clinic in Game 7 of the Western Conference Finals. Their excellent shooting from beyond the arc saved the Warriors’ playoff chances in the final two games of the series (especially Klay’s Game 6). At one point in Game 7, they were on such a roll that they were even breaking each other’s records.

During Game 7, Curry had tied the previous record for the most 3-pointers made in a 7-game series. But in the third quarter, Klay drained another one to break the record with 29. Not to be outdone, Curry drained a pair of threes two minutes later to set the new record at 30.

The Splash Brothers were on fire for Game 7, shooting a combined 13-of-23 from 3-point range. Steph had an especially big night, posting 36 point, 5 rebounds, and 8 assists in 40 minutes. Curry ended the series 32-of-77 from beyond the arc for the series, while Thompson went 30-for-73. The two Warriors’ stars combined for 57 points and helped lead the Warriors to a 96-88 victory over the Thunder.

It will be hard to beat that Western Conference Finals series, but a rematch of last year’s finals with a healthy Kyrie Irving and Kevin Love for the Cavaliers should make things very interesting. The Warriors beat the Cavs in six games last season after being down 2-1 in the series.

Game 1 of the NBA Finals will begin at 9:00pm (EST) in Oakland. Get excited.
