The football world received shocking news of the passing of icon Diego Maradona on Wednesday after suffering a heart attack at age 60. The former World Cup champion was an inspiring figure to fans from across the globe, especially in his home country of Argentina. With everyone trying to get one last glimpse to pay respect for the iconic midfielder, one super fan took it to a whole new level.

An employee of the Sepelios Pinier funeral parlor in Buenos Aires assigned to handle Maradona's remains was immediately fired after he took a photo of himself next to the footballer's open coffin (via Mirror Sport). The worker was tasked to prepare the footballer's body for his upcoming wake and chose to take a disturbing selfie right next to Diego Maradona. The publication opted not to post the unsettling photo.

The owner of the parlor told local media in Buenos Aires that the employee had already been let go. Unfortunately, the photo connected to the Diego Maradona remembrance has already gone viral on social media which has irked a lot of folks.
