Utah Jazz big man Rudy Gobert did not make the 2018-19 Western Conference All-Star team in spite of great numbers, and while talking to reporters on Friday, Gobert walked away wiping tears from his face.

Gobert said that his mother called him crying when she discovered the news that he has been snubbed, causing the 26-year-old to get emotional.

As expected, other NBA players are already beginning to poke fun at Gobert for his reaction, with the first shots coming from the Golden State Warriors:

Sorry, but this is lame on the part of Draymond Green and Andre Iguodala.

It's blatantly obvious that Gobert was upset largely because his mother was emotional over the fact that her son did not make the All-Star Game. Is that a reason to make fun of the kid?

You can see why Gobert was saddened.

While players do get snubbed from the All-Star Game every year (and I hate to break this news to you, Draymond, but you were not snubbed this year; you just haven't been that good), you can only imagine how Gobert feels, as he works so hard to get to this point.

On the season, Gobert is averaging 15 points, 12.8 rebounds, 2.2 assists and 2.2 blocks over 31.6 minutes per game while shooting a league-leading 65 percent from the floor and 64.8 percent from the free-throw line.

Gobert has been in the league since the 2013-14 campaign and has never made an All-Star team. However, last year, he won the Defensive Player of the Year award. He has also averaged double-doubles in three straight seasons.
