Genshin Impact won the Mobile Game of the Year award in the prestigious The Game Awards 2021. As a reward, MiHoYo promised to give its players a total of 1,600 Primogems across four days from December 11 to 14, 2021. But the real reward came even before Genshin Impact won the award – it was the Yun Jin tease they did during their game entry video.

Some award nominees for the major titles in TGA 2021 had the opportunity to re-introduce themselves to the audience. One such game was Genshin Impact, which prepared a video presentation for the audience. Their presentation previewed the newest upcoming characters to the game: the 5-Star Arataki Itto and the 4-Star General Gorou. But the real highlight of the video was a teaser for a brand-new character that has yet to appear in any video materials before – until today. Genshin Impact did a Yu Jin tease during The Game Awards, and it put the community ablaze.

The Yu Jin tease only lasted for a couple of seconds, but at least we were able to take a glimpse of the character's model. This is unlike miHoYo's previous tease for Kamisato Ayato that only teased his voice. We do not know yet when Yu Jin will make her playable debut in the game, but we're optimistic that we won't have to wait for long.
