Dwyane Wade is a huge Julius Randle fan. This is exactly why the soon-to-be Hall of Famer was delighted to learn about the New York Knicks star's recent selection to the All-Star team as a reserve for the East.

According to Wade, Randle has been on an absolute tear this season, and this has a lot to do with new Knicks coach Tom Thibodeau:

“Julius has been in the league for seven years. And we saw flashes from Julius in L.A. when he was there but now you get a coach that really puts the ball in his hands, puts it in his sweet spot and allows him to become the player we knew he could be when he was drafted,” Wade said, via Stefan Bondy of the New York Daily News.

Randle spent the first four seasons of his career with the Los Angeles Lakers, and as Wade said in his message above, the 6-foot-8 power forward already showed a ton of potential as a youngster. However, it wasn't until he made the move away from Hollywood that his star truly shined. This season has been the best of his career, and the fact that Knicks coach Thibs has placed a lot of trust in him has certainly been a significant factor in Randle's All-Star worthy play.

Be that as it may, there are more than a few folks out there that will contend with Randle's selection. Domantas Sabonis, Fred VanVleet, and Jerami Grant are a few names that were noticeably snubbed from the All-Star squad, and as in years past, there has been an outcry over this.
