When LeBron James took his talents to Hollywood, many believed that the Los Angeles Lakers were being groomed to be the next super team. NBA analyst Bill Simmons has added more fire to the flame by presenting his theory about New Orleans Pelicans Anthony Davis eventually making a move to L.A.

Davis recently parted ways with his long-time sports agent, Thad Foucher. Rumors have begun circulating regarding the 25-year-old's potential next agent, and Rich Paul, who happens to be LeBron's agent as well, has been identified as one of the front-runners.

According to Simmons, if Davis does decide to hire Rich Paul and his company Klutch Sports Group to represent him, then surely, he will make his way to the Lakers in the near future.

This is not a very far off theory, as Paul is not just LeBron's sports agent. These two have been long-time friends and are very close. If there were anyone who would be in a great position to serve as an envoy in recruiting Davis, then it would definitely be Paul.

Davis is currently on a five-year, $127 million deal with the Pelicans which he signed in 2015. His contract will run out by the end of the 2020-21 season, but the thing is, the final year of his deal is a player option. This means that if he decides to do so, he can actually become an unrestricted free agent by the summer of 2020, paving the way for a move to L.A.

That's still a couple of seasons away, and a lot can still happen between now and then. However, if Davis does indeed to employ the services of Paul, then a LeBron-A.D. partnership in the future definitely becomes more realistic.
