Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Los Angeles Lakers legend and one of the greatest players of all time, reacted to LeBron James' commitment to the purple and gold and at the same time, hinted that there might be more in store.

Via his personal Twitter account, Abdul-Jabbar congratulated the Lakers organization — a team which he guided to several championships in the 80s:

What's notable about his tweet is the acknowledgment that the Lakers are just a ‘smidgen away from being real contenders.' This pretty much hints that the Lakers are definitely signing more pieces in the coming days. These pieces will be according to James' wants and play style. And based on James' former championship teams, he would need at least one more superstar to complement him.

Abdul-Jabbar also mentioned San Antonio — referring to the Spurs. They have been on the news as of late, primarily due to Kawhi Leonard's wishes to be traded preferably to the Lakers.

Many analysts say that Leonard's situation with the Spurs is beyond repair. If the Lakers are unable to arrange an attractive package in exchange for him this summer, they still might get him next season when he becomes a free agent.

James' commitment to the Lakers is definitely the biggest news in basketball this summer. But expect more from the Lakers in the days to come.
