Luka Doncic was the belle of the NBA ball as he led the Dallas Mavericks to a stunning blowout win against the Phoenix Suns on Sunday night. The Slovenian sensation left a certain Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James.

King James was asked by a random fan on Twitter on his favorite NBA star under 25. The Lakers forward gave a definitive answered in all caps.

“LUKA. He's my fav player!!” said the Lakers star.

Considering he didn't qualify his definition of “fave player”, LeBron James might be making the claim that Luka Doncic isn't just his favorite under-25 stud, the Mavs star is his favorite, bar none.

It's hard to argue with the Lakers star on his selection. Luka Doncic has all the tools plus the killer instinct to take the crown as the face of the league when LeBron James ultimately hangs it up.

It wasn't too long ago that LeBron James was carrying a rather slim roster farther into the NBA playoffs than people expected. The Mavs' run is already drawing parallels to LeBron James' 2007 run to the NBA Finals – and for good reason.

The Lakers aren't in the postseason, which has kept LeBron James out of the limelight. It's given fans a chance to see the next generation of stars that could take over the mantle down the road.
