Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James has been the embodiment of consistency throughout what has been an amazing 18-year career. More than a few folks consider him to be the greatest player to have ever held a basketball and LeBron's recent scoring feat could work to strengthen this bold claim.

On Wednesday, the Lakers superstar dropped 34 points in a disappointing loss against the Sacramento Kings. This was just the latest of LeBron's recent scoring surge which has now made him the only player to have scored at least 10 points in a thousand straight games (h/t NBA Retweet on Twitter):

LeBron James. That's the entire list. The Lakers star is the only person in history to have ever achieved this astonishing feat. Not even the great Michael Jordan reached this milestone, nor did all-time scoring leader Kareem Abdul-Jabbar.

This recent scoring accolade by LeBron speaks volumes not only of his consistency but also, his longevity. One of the things that makes the Lakers superstar so great is his ability to still play at an elite level at this point in his career. How many 37-year-olds can go out to say that at Year 19, he's still neck-and-neck with another generational talent in Kevin Durant for what could potentially be LeBron's second career scoring title? Not many, I can assure you.
