Portland Trail Blazers guard C.J. McCollum is thoroughly convinced fellow All-Star Paul George will wind up elsewhere during the offseason.

The scoring backcourt star spoke with ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski in The Woj Pod, only to drop a bomb of a prediction.

“I already tried to get Paul George once. He already turned us down once. You can only shoot your shot so many times in the DMs before you just have to give up. He left me on read receipt, you know [laughs]. “But nah, he’s a cool dude, and he’s got to do what’s best for his family. He couldn’t control where he went. He ended up getting traded anyway to OKC.”

“I wish him nothing but the best, and I’m sure he’ll enjoy that California sunshine next season.” (Crowd buzzes) “What? It’s the truth.”

George has been rumored to wind up in Los Angeles since even before the last offseason, but the rumors have faded over time due to his rapport with budding star Russell Westbrook — but this season's first-round playoff failure could spell his exit from OKC after only one season with the team.

The Los Angeles Lakers still have room for two potential max free agents in the summer, but have reportedly looked to switch up their campaign to a 2019 free agency class that could include the likes of Kawhi Leonard, a much younger player that has fallen out of sorts with perennial powerhouse San Antonio Spurs.

Ironically enough, McCollum is also been in the midst of rumors this offseason after his Blazers were swept out of the first round of the playoffs, making this upcoming offseason that much more of a mystery.
