Francisco Lindor reportedly has a whopping 10-year, $325 million offer on the table from the New York Mets, according to Jon Heyman of MLB Network. Lindor reportedly has less than three days to decide on the final offer from the Mets.
Sources: Mets offer to Francisco Lindor is $325M for 10 years. That is believed to be the final offer after moving it up past the originally planned number. Less than 3 days before Lindor’s deadline. @martinonyc on it

Should Lindor accept the deal, the massive nine-figure offer from New York would rank him tied with the fifth largest contract in the history of MLB.
Lindor offer of $325M would rank him behind only Mike Trout ($426.5M total, $360M extension), Mookie Betts ($365M), Fernando Tatis ($340M) and Bryce Harper ($330M) and tie him with Giancarlo Stanton for biggest MLB contract #mets

It certainly didn't take long for the Mets to attempt to secure their newly acquired star to a long-term deal. However, the Puerto Rican shortstop, who was traded from the Cleveland Indians earlier this year, hasn't given any clue on what he will do with the offer just yet. It's going to be hard to envision him risk turning down that crazy amount of money and enter the season with a ton of risks playing with a new squad. He is set to be a free agent after the season.
Lindor hasn’t tipped his hand but it would carry much risk to turn down $325M and play out the season in a new city, new league and tougher division. He’s had a big spring and he’s one of the very best players in baseball, but it’d take guts to leave that pile of $ on the table.

In a report by Tim Healey of Newsday, Lindor reportedly countered with a $385 million contract, but spread out for 12 years. This would give the four-time All-Star a little less annually than the Mets' offer, but secures him $60 million more.
Nevertheless, according to Heyman, a lot of people around the league believe it's a no-brainer that Lindor should take the deal. Still, some think the 27-year-old should take his time and not rush his decision, given that he still has a couple of days to contemplate the offer.
A quick polling of MLB people suggests Lindor should take the $325M. Management folks ranged from yes to “he’d be nuts if he didn’t.” Agents saw it as a good/serious offer though a few suggested he spend 2 days left upping it to $335M or $350M and one said he’d hold out for $400M

The two-time Silver Slugger and Golden Glove awardee will really need to think this one through. That $325 million offer from the Mets is no joke.
