An NBA fan missing much of what’s happening with his favorite sport due to jail time is catching up to the league after four years. Reddit user Breezy Blue posted a question to seek help and make sense of the events in the league since last hearing about any NBA news.

“Wow the Warriors are really good now. Is Stephen Curry the best player in the NBA,” the fan asked.

The original post has since been deleted but here’s more details on what he has observed about the league so far, courtesy of Zac Wassink of Bleacher Report.

“Just got out of jail recently and I'm trying to catch back up with the NBA. [Stephen] Curry seemed to have an amazing season in 2015-16. His stats look amazing and I saw some highlight videos on YouTube as well. 73 wins is freaking insane.”

The Golden State Warriors won an NBA-record 73 wins in the 2015-16 season with Curry winning MVP honors, the first in league history to win the award unanimously. It was his second-straight MVP award. Coupled with the Warriors’ two championships in 2015 and 2017, it’s no wonder that Breezy Blue inquired about Curry’s status as perhaps the best player in the game.

He also noted how LeBron James and Kevin Love are now teammates with the Cleveland Cavaliers. Love was with the Minnesota Timberwolves during his first few seasons in the league. James had just returned to Cleveland to power the Cavs to their first championship in 2016.

According to Wassink, “Breezy Blue claims to have spent time in a Thailand prison camp but would not explain how he or she ended up in that predicament.”

If his/her story is true, then we’d like to welcome him/her back to the NBA-fan family! Time to catch up to a lot of exciting years from the best sport in the world.
