It appears as though veteran point guard Chris Paul could be on the move once again as the Oklahoma City Thunder have continually been rumored to be shopping the seasoned signal-caller. According to a recent report from Brian Windhorst of ESPN, the Phoenix Suns have now emerged as a potential suitor for Paul.
Windhorst has tweeted that the Suns “have had discussions about acquiring” Paul from the Thunder while it remains to be seen as to what type of return this would garner for Oklahoma City.

The 35-year-old Chris Paul was traded to the Thunder from the Houston Rockets last offseason as the two Western Conferences franchises traded point guards — and then some.
With Paul heading from Houston to Oklahoma City, the Rockets notably acquired All-Star point guard Russell Westbrook in the same deal. Even though many believed that the Thunder would have a hard time even making the playoffs with Paul and company on board, Oklahoma City exceeded such expectations and were actually quite competitive come postseason time.
In what could ultimately become his lone season as a member of the Thunder, Paul averaged 17.6 points, 6.7 assists and an even five rounds per game. Appearing in 70 regular-season games as a member of the Thunder in 2019-20, Paul also averaged 2.2 steals and just under 35 minutes per outing in addition to shooting 48.9 percent from the field and 36.5 percent from behind the arc.
It is also worth noting that Suns are definitely on the rise as Phoenix impressed in a big way down in Orlando during the NBA restart.
