Brooklyn Nets star Kevin Durant is ecstatic about their newest addition, veteran guard Jamal Crawford. And he let everyone know.

On Instagram, Durant commented on a photo of Crawford putting in some work while donning a fresh Brooklyn Nets practice jersey. Durant expressed his admiration for the 40-year-old by calling him “The god.”

To recall, the Nets signed Crawford on July 9 for the final 8 games of the regular season and playoffs. Several Nets players opted out of the season restart in the Orlando bubble after testing positive for the coronavirus.

The Nets currently sport a 30-24 record for seventh in the Eastern Conference. They have yet to clinch a playoff spot. Right behind them are the Orlando Magic and the Washington Wizards.

Kevin Durant himself won't be playing in the last eight games or in the postseason in the event that they qualify. Nevertheless, he seems pumped that the veteran is back in action.

It's been a while since Crawford stepped onto the floor. The last time NBA fans saw him was in April 2019 donning the Phoenix Suns jersey. In the 2018-19 season finale game against the Dallas Mavericks, Crawford dropped 51 points. As such, analysts were puzzled that no one picked up Crawford in the offseason and during the 2019-20 season.

Crawford admitted that he thought that his NBA career was over after not a single team wanted him. However, he just kept on working out and trying to remain fit.

“When you're in love with it, you're willing to do anything it takes,” Crawford said, per ESPN.
