The Brooklyn Nets have been on a roll of late even without the services of Kevin Durant, who is still dealing with a hamstring strain. As it turns out, Brooklyn will need to navigate the coming weeks without one of their superstars, with Durant now expected to spend more time on the shelf.

According to ESPN's Malika Andrews, Nets head coach Steve Nash himself confirmed that KD's return could be towards the All-Star break which will take place on the weekend of March 7th:

The report was also confirmed by Marc Stein of the New York Times:

The Nets are in action on Tuesday against the Sacramento Kings, which will mark Durant's fifth game on the sidelines. As Nash stated above, the Nets will continue to be without the former league MVP for a considerable period, which at this point, is not actually very concerning.

Brooklyn has won all four games without Durant, with James Harden and Kyrie Irving putting on a show for the Nets. They were able to defeat both the defending champs, the Los Angeles Lakers, as well as the Los Angeles Clippers during that stretch. They also recently concluded a five-game road stint, which resulted in five wins.

Hamstring injuries can be tricky, but Durant's issue here does not sound too serious. The Nets have always been cautious when it comes to the injuries of their players, and KD is certainly no exception. Expect the team to take as much time as they need/want in terms of Durant's recovery.
