Cleveland Browns wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. was excused from practice again on Thursday. There are rumors out there saying Beckham has been told to stay home and won't play for the Browns again. This comes after Beckham wasn't traded at the deadline and his father criticized Baker Mayfield on social media.

Mayfield spoke out about the situation on Wednesday, and both Joel Bitonio and John Johnson said Thursday Beckham would be welcomed back to the locker room. However, NFL Network's Mike Garafolo got a quote from an anonymous Browns player that wasn't so charitable:

“He does nothing. He talks to no one. He's just got a malcontent attitude.”

Beckham himself hasn't commented on the situation. While he surely would have welcomed a trade, he supposedly was willing to report to the team. But as of right now, it looks like these two parties are headed for a split. It wouldn't be a surprise if the veteran Browns wideout is released soon.

It has been a tough few years in Cleveland for Beckham. He suffered a serious knee injury last season and hasn't been on the same page with Mayfield this season, resulting in poor production. Things aren't going well for the Browns right now, and this is just part of the problem.
